 La Maison  & Nicolai Aroma Lamps

La Maison Aroma Lamps

Instead of a flame, our perfume lamps use a form of catalytic combustion to move large volumes of air through the lamp's heat chamber. When lit, heat rises rapidly from the lamp's catalytic filter. 

The heat mixes with cooler air, creates a continuous flow of air through the combustion chamber, a process known as catalytic conversion.

Airborne molecules that cause odors are filtered through the lamp and converted into oxygen.

While this is happening, the lamp emits a light and delightful fragrance. An entire room or house is deodorized and scented in just a few minutes, and the fragrance lasts for hours.

 

  

Instructions for your Lamp:

A:  Take of Burner and its wick.  Fill Lamp at 2/3 maximum of your lamp.  Replace the burner.  Let is soak for 30 minutes.

B: Light your burner Never let the flame go unattended

C: Blow out the flame after 2 minutes maximum.  If your lamp has a ventilated cover or crown Place back over lamp.  

D: To stop the lamp, cover with the cover or cap

Our Aroma Lamps are made of very fine glass, porcelain, metal and earthenware. They are collector's items and have been known to appreciate in value. With the many designs and colors, you are sure to find one that will complement your home or office.

Our La Maison and Nicolai oils come in a variety of floral, fruit, spice, confection and exotic scents. These oils are alcohol based, therefore regular petroleum based lamp fuels cannot be used. Each lamp comes in a gift box with a sample bottle of fuel, but you will want to choose your favorite scent also.

  • What are Aroma Lamps?  and how do they work?

La Maison and Nicolai are decorative fragrance lamps that destroy odors and bacteria in the air while increasing oxygen levels and perfuming your environment. They all use a catalytic burner that reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit to combust a special alcohol based liquid fuel. The burning fuel releases molecules into the air that capture and destroy odors while dispersing essential oils.

  • The benefits of Aroma Lamps

Aroma Lamps purify the air by destroying odors and air borne bacteria. They increase oxygen levels in the air. The fuels contain essential oils that are made from natural botanical extracts. These oils perfume the air and provide aromatherapy, as well as having insect repelling properties.

  • Instructions for using Aroma Lamps
  1. Remove the open work shade A) and the cap.
  2. Away from any source of heat, fill your lamp two-thirds full with fragrance fuel. Clean the exterior of the lamp of any fuel.
  3. Insert the wick of the burner into the lamp and position the base of the burner evenly into the lamp opening. Put the cap back over the burner. Allow the wick to draw fuel into the burner for about 30 min.
  4. Remove the cap and light the burner with a match or lighter. Do not replace the openwork shade. After 2 minutes blow out the flame. Your Lampe is now operational.
  5. Replace the openwork shade. Do not touch the burner.
  6. To extinguish the Lampe, remove the openwork shade which will be hot), place the cap on the burner and replace the shade.

25 to 40 minutes of use is sufficient for a 1000 to 1400 cubic foot room.

  • Helpful Hints
  1. Remember that the Aroma lamp works after the flame is extinguished. The flame is to heat the stone and needs to be blown out after 1-2 minutes.
  2. The burner should last at least two years or approximately 250 lightings.
  3. You can change fragrances by letting the wick dry on a paper towel. It is okay to go from fragrance to fragrance without drying the wick, the fragrance will blend until the fuel in the wick is used.
